When you get home and begin to unwind what do you think is the best part of your entire day? When you’re through running yourself ragged in circles from home, to work, to school and everywhere in between, what does your mind gravitate towards as the part of your day that would make you feel relaxed and so much better? Maybe your mind might have you thinking about something that’s soft and enveloping, with just enough support to keep you alert but with plenty of give to get lost in…and all these qualities can be found happily in one place – in your bed! Your bed is more than just a place to dry your feet or to flop down after a night of too many martinis. A lot of people end up turning their beds into multitaskers – using it for eating, watching tv, surfing the internet, reading and even doing work but at the end of it all, your bed is where you let your body and mind unwind, in sleep. Sleep or rather the quality of your sleep is very important to your health and the quality of life you enjoy. The same way that you take care of the clothes that you wear is the same way you should care for the bedding that you put on your bed. Bedding isn’t just about looks and style – while there are many styles to choose from especially from places like BedBathStore.com, you have to understand the purpose that bedding serves to the life of your bed and your mattress. Bedding serves several purposes – it adds life to your room, it makes you comfortable and it protects your mattress from spills, dust and other unwantables. Where style is concerned, your bedding can act as the most decorative part of your room. Even if you’re not in a place to decorate your room, you can draw from the style and the colors of your bedding to accentuate and really add life to your entire bedroom landscape.

LOVING YOUR BEDDING

Here is an excellent tip on adding life to your beautiful bedding!

Store your bedding for the best results!

If you want to get the most from your bedding, you have to be willing to rotate it. Two of the best times to change your bedding is during the spring and summer months when you will probably opt for thinner and easier to manage linens. This means you will have to store your bedding in a place and way that is not obtrusive. Before you consider packing your bedding away it is important that you make sure it is clean – either wash it yourself as per the manufacturer’s directions or have it professionally laundered. One it is clean there are several ways of storing it so that is remains dust free, mite free and mold free as well. Pack it in a vacuum sealable bag which will suck all the air out and retain it in a fresh state or put it in a breathable bag that will allow good air flow and keep condensation from happening during the temperature changes in your room or storage bin.

I actually think it feels so much better to sleep when the bedding is softer. The best way to make it softer is by moving it. If it stays set for a long time it can get harder.
