Have a Victorious Valentine’s Day

king penguinsThe Christmas credit card bill has arrived, it’s horrifying. Muttering resolute promises of ‘staying in for a year’ and ‘only eating dry bread’ – butter is now an unaffordable luxury, you trudge, heavy-hearted, to work.  A bus goes past, you stare at it longingly remembering how cosy you were only a few weeks ago, snuggled into its threadbare, dirt-encrusted seats; forced to breathe the acrid odour of the customary homeless person who’s blagged a ride to keep warm.

You gaze wistfully into a shop window pushing the joyful memories of spending out of your mind.  And then you STOP. You thought your day was bad before? It just got a whole lot worse.  Valentine’s Day gifts cram the shelves.  They’re everywhere, they fill every nook. You dart your eyes around frantically, desperately seeking salvation but no, they’ve taken over!! Huge taunting hearts dominate the windows, overpriced presents glare at you vindictively.

Bile threatens to spurt forth – you’ll have to sell the car!! But if you don’t humour the day of Cupid, your commercial crap loving lover will assume you don’t care. ‘AGGGHHH down with consumerism’, you cry!! ‘Bring back the breadline, meagre rations and threadbare clothes.’

Ok, that was hasty but you’re in a bind. How will you acquire your loved one a suitable and bountiful booty?

Invest in daily deal. With daily deals Australia you can treat your partner to the gift of their dreams but without the cost.

Fancy five nights in Koh Sumair? Or a sublime spa day? How about wine tasting in glorious, sun kissed vineyards? Some Elle Macpherson naughty lingerie? Or Swarovski studded jewellery?

Travel in luxury, walk on unexplored beaches, and lie cradled in your lover’s arms feeling the heat of the sinking sun on your back whilst listening to the murmur of the quietening ocean. Treat yourself to room service and an infinity pool that flows forever into distances unknown. Be pampered with your partner, relaxing side by side in rose-petalled whirlpools, feeling the hydrotherapy bubbles gently ease the stress from your weary (trudging is tiring) feet.

But on a budget!
